Navajo YouthNavajo Youth is a solo pop artist from Nottingham, England, now resident in Leeds, who began writing music as Navajo Youth in 2009. His “panoramic pop” sound draws sonic inspiration from modern electronic music and classic 80s pop and lyrical inspiration from modern society and the natural world surrounding us.

Blending electronic sounds, strong melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Navajo Youth’s music has been compared to Passion Pit, Erasure, MGMT and Patrick Wolf.

The passionate delivery and distinctive visual image of his first festival performances in 2010 quickly led to invitations to play on larger stages, including T in the Park in 2011. For Navajo Youth performances in 2012, a new 6-piece group has been assembled to deliver his wide-screen sound.

Navajo Youth’s Heavy Heart EP, written and produced entirely in his bedroom, was released on 12th March 2012 on his own Lions! Lions! Lions! label. For a limited time, it is available for free download here.

His debut EP, The Realist’s Enchantment with the Affectations of Affection, was released in April 2011 and is still available to buy here.
